Solidarity marches are taking place at Mosborough ‘The Queens’ (12pm), Eckington Precinct (12.45pm) and Coal Aston Village Hall (also known as Coal Aston Community Centre, 12.45pm). The rally is at 2pm at Bramleymoor Lane and is followed by stalls, food, bar and a bit later, music provided at the Fox and Hounds.
To get to Coal Aston by public transport, catch the No. 44 bus (Flat Street-Arundel Gate-Heeley-Woodseats-Jordanthorpe- Coal Aston – Dronfield- Chesterfield) and alight at Coal Aston Methodist Church, you then walk on for a short distance and the hall is on the same side of Eckington Road. The buses from Sheffield to Coal Aston are only hourly but the best advice from co-chair Jenny Carpenter is to catch the 12.10 from Flat Street, scheduled to arrive at Coal Aston Methodist Church stop at 12.41. T here are hourly buses back to Sheffield from Marsh Lane at 15.03 and 16.06( No. 50a) but a half-hourly service from Eckington Bus Station (No. 50 as well as 50a).
