Environmental Justice Fund project

This year we have secured funding from the Environmental Justice Fund for a year-long project. As a result our part-time worker was recruited in the spring and started work in May 2014.  Read on to discover the main planned project outcomes:

  • Improve communication: a new web site, a reliable monthly newletter and regular of social media, including Twitter.
  • Expand climate campaign involvement across the city region: make at least three new links with active groups and individual people in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire
  • Massive home insulation programme: gain popular and political support for a massive home insulation programme in Sheffield
  • Climate Stories: start a new narrative around climate change by listening to and publicizing personal stories from areas already badly affected, from Sheffield citizens or international partners of Sheffield based organisations.

Our campaign worker, Jenny Patient, is keen to hear from you about getting involved in any of these four areas of our work – contact Jenny via the contact form or join up as a volunteer via our mailing list.
