‘Our Planet’ Hub Day- Saturday 11th May.

If you’re not already aware about the ‘Our Planet’ Hub Day, now is the time to take a look at the programme and select what you want to attend! You don’t have to book in advance but you are welcome to secure your place ahead through ‘Tickets for Good’ for the daytime here (on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis), however you will need to book for the evening event here.

Sheffield Climate Alliance, Sheffield Against Fracking and Sheffield Friends of The Earth will all be there alongside a whole truckload of great people discussing the different sub-topics on the environment and climate change. There will be an opportunity to eat at ‘Turning Earth’s Vegan Breakfast Club for a donation and there will be a range of workshops to pick from starting at 1.30pm onwards. From 5 to 6.15pm, there is an excellent panel discussion on ‘Campaigning Vs Direct Action: How Far Should We Go In The Face of Extinction?’ featuring Asad Rehman (Executive Director of ‘War On Want’), Roscoe Blevins (imprisoned for peaceful anti-fracking direct action in 2018) and representatives from Sheffield Against Fracking and Extinction Rebellion. And finally, to round things off, there will be a great performance by musician Lola Perrin, with guest speaker Asad Rehman again in the shape of ‘Climate Keys’ starting from 8pm.

Further details of all the workshops and talks can be found at the Festival Of Debate ‘Hub Day’ page found here.
